SplashPark at Southside
Conceptual Drawing of the SplashPark at the Dr. Wesley Grant, Sr. Southside Center
The Dr. Wesley Grant, Sr. Southside Center (Southside Center), located at 285 Livingston Street in Asheville, is the City of Asheville’s newest community center. It is centrally located near several public housing neighborhoods and the River Arts District. The City intends to build out the community center over a period of 3-5 years to become Asheville’s most full-service recreation center offering both indoor and outdoor recreation programs, health and wellness resources, and education for all ages.

The SplashPark is part of the second phase of development at the Southside Center. It is a unique water-themed playground designed in a clover-like pattern of petals – one for each age group of toddlers, youth and teens.
Asheville Parks & Greenways Foundation is focused on supporting this vital community facility. Stay tuned for more details on how you can be involved!
